Fun awaits! As participants learn a little more about Animals, insects, and plants that emit light they will also paint their very own Lantern fish that they can bring home! Participants will not only explore what Bioluminescence is, they will also learn about Emmett Chappelle. He is the scientist that studied Bioluminece with valuable contributions to science.

Students can choose to paint a Lantern fish and go through the fun handouts to learn even more about Bioluminescence. They will get to see their lantern fish glow, even during the day!

We ask the questions: Why do things glow? Can humans Glow? What would you do if you could glow like an Angler fish?
