Vallejo Gem and Mineral is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1954. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to sharing our knowledge of lapidary arts and mineralogy. We encourage the interest of geology, mineralogy and metalsmithing among people of all ages, young and old.

Our club has a workshop at the Vallejo Fairgrounds with lapidary equipment for members use. We have field trips throughout the year for rock collecting. We also offer classes in metalsmithing and mineralogy.

Our booth at the Steam Discovery Festival will have ongoing demonstrations of cabochon making using a multi wheeled Genie cabbing machine. We will have a display of different rocks and a simple bracelet making project for kids. (5 years and above)
